A platform for knowledge leadership and technical advancement in Syria and the Arab world.

Our Mission

A peer-reviewed scholarly platform for engineering publishing, dedicated to documenting the Syrian engineering heritage (1955–present) and enriching it with original research and innovative solutions, by adopting the highest standards of scientific peer review, strengthening integration between academia, industry, and society, and contributing to reconstruction and sustainable development.

Our Strategic Objectives

1. Building a rigorous scientific peer-review system

  • Establishing an editorial board of distinguished academics and experts.
  • Adopting double-blind review as a core procedure.
  • Adopting a publication ethics code aligned with COPE standards.
  • Setting a review timeframe with advance notice to researchers.

2. Accreditation and indexing in international sources

  • Obtaining an International Standard Serial Number (ISSN).
  • Meeting the criteria of international databases (Scopus, Web of Science, Engineering Village).
  • Providing English abstracts for all research articles.
  • Adopting a DOI for every published article.

3. Diversifying scientific content

Journal sections: Original Research, Review Articles, Technical Reports, Case Studies, Peer-Reviewed Historical Archive, and Master's and Doctoral Thesis Summaries.

4. Strengthening scholarly outreach and ties with accrediting bodies

  • Signing partnership agreements with Syrian and Arab universities.
  • Pursuing accreditation from the Ministry of Higher Education.
  • Organizing periodic scientific seminars and conferences.

5. Ensuring financial sustainability and transparency

  • Adopting the Open Access publishing model.
  • Diversifying funding sources: universities, international organizations, engineering-company sponsorship, publication fees, and donations.
  • Publishing transparent annual financial reports.

6. Empowering women and young talent

  • Establishing an annual award for the best research article.
  • Targeting young researchers and holders of innovative projects in Syria and among expatriates.
  • Encouraging peer review by young researchers under academic supervision.
